With the ambitious mission of showcasing and celebrating the vibrant diversity of pornography while sparking open, societal conversations, the Porn Film Festival Vienna is dedicated to bringing a genre typically confined to private spaces back into the public realm of cinema.
They defy the monotony of conservative mainstream adult content, proudly presenting feminist, queer, and LGBTQIA+ perspectives. Their carefully curated film and theory program features a diverse selection of feature films, documentaries, and shorts that explore a wide spectrum of sexual orientations, identities, and body norms. This is far from your typical cheesy mainstream porn; expect groundbreaking narratives that challenge norms.
Beyond the screen, the festival extends its impact with engaging Q&A sessions with filmmakers, thought-provoking panel discussions, insightful lectures, and our renowned workshops, making the festival a holistic experience over four immersive days.
Their aim is to foster an open and inclusive environment for reception, discussion, and reflection. The festival strives to challenge and broaden horizons, creating a safe space for collective dialogue on pornography, sexuality, and sexual identity. They believe that porn can be sensual, honest, friendly, and self-determined.
